[Ultrasonic Plastic Welding Machine] Material factors specific instructions

Ultrasonic plastic welder operation is suitable for most thermoplastic materials.

First, amorphous polymers, especially those outside the glassy state at room temperature, are often good candidates for welding processes. The glassy amorphous polymer has good transmission property, allowing the use of near field and far field welding techniques for successful welding. Ultrasonic welding of open materials becomes problematic when the material is soft. For example, welding a high impact PS usually requires more energy and additional amplitude than welding a general PS.

Second, semi-crystalline polymers are generally more difficult to weld with ultrasonic energy. Increase the amount of energy emitted by the welding system (i.e., increase in amplitude); Shorten the distance between welding head/workpiece contact surface and joint interface; Adopt near field ultrasonic welding technology; Use range up to 0.05-0.15mm welding head. These high ranges require the use of titanium welding heads. Both shear and bevel joints are suitable for semicrystalline polymers when high strength sealing assemblies are required.

In addition, weld hygroscopic polymers: weld products immediately after molding (while they are still dry); The workpiece is dried before welding; Store the parts in a dryer before welding.
